Chosen Song

I have chosen to use the song “Mile End” by Pulp. I have chosen to use this song for my music video as I believe it will be a challenge to create a music video that has a message about poverty, that also fits with the style of the song. The song has a very energetic feel, yet the lyrics are about a horrible situation that no one wants to be in. The original song also does not have a music video for it, so I believe it gives me more creative freedom to interpret it however I want. The song was originally released as part of the soundtrack for the film “Trainspotting” which has very dark messages in it. This shows that it can be used in a darker video, even with the light-hearted beat.
